Welcome to AcademIELTS. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
AcademIELTS provides online practice for the IELTS Academic exam, including reading passages, listening audio, writing prompts, AI essay scoring, and progress tracking. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with Cambridge Assessment, IDP, the British Council, or any official IELTS organization.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
3. Account responsibilities
- You must give accurate information when signing up.
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure.
- One account per person; sharing accounts is prohibited.
- Don't use the service to harass other users, send spam, or attempt to break our security.
4. Acceptable use of AI features
- AI essay scoring is for your own personal IELTS preparation. Don't use it to mass-process content or compete with us.
- We rate-limit AI requests per account and per IP. Attempts to circumvent these limits (multiple accounts, scripted requests, etc.) will result in account termination.
- We may pause AI features when our daily cost budget is exceeded — this is rare but can happen.
5. Premium subscription
- Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the merchant of record and handles tax compliance globally.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Refunds: we offer a 7-day refund window for first-time subscriptions. After that, no partial refunds for unused time.
- Lifetime plans are non-refundable after 7 days.
6. Free tier
- 3 free Reading tests, 2 free Listening tests, 2 free Writing tests.
- Practice mode with daily limits.
- Free accounts may see advertising; Premium accounts do not.
7. Content and intellectual property
- Cambridge IELTS practice materials displayed in the test interface are excerpted for educational practice. Original copyright belongs to the respective publishers.
- Our user interface, code, branding ("AcademIELTS", pixel theme), and AI scoring rubric remain our property.
- Your submitted essays remain yours. We retain a copy so you can review your AI feedback.
8. Disclaimers
AcademIELTS is provided "as is" for practice purposes. AI band scores are estimates produced by language models — they're useful for self-improvement but are not official IELTS scores. Your real IELTS result may differ. We make no guarantee of any specific band outcome.
9. Termination
You can delete your account anytime. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms (abuse, fraud, security incidents, etc.) without refund.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. We'll email account holders for material changes. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Istanbul.
